Just want to share a little bit of news this morning. The short story I was working on and mentioned on my last blog has won a Joe Lansdale contest. As most in the horror writing genre knows, Joe R Lansdale is the winner of the British Fantasy Award, the American Horror Award, the Edgar Award, and eight Bram Stoker Awards. He’s also has had a few movies made of his work. One being the extremely funny horror film: Bubba Ho Tep.
The World Horror Convention also made him the recipient of the 2007 Grand Master Award for contributions to the field of Horror fiction.
Anyway, my winning story is a comedic tale of a dyslexic kid who sells his soul to Santa.
Joe said on his FB & website: “This one was clever and funny, and worked for me.” (Music to my eyes)
The story is now up on his website for everyone to read: http://joerlansdale.com/winner.shtml
